THE CHALLENGE

Market for Good (MfG) is an online gifting platform that serves to empower social enterprises and make corporate gifting a force for good. Their online platform connects corporations seeking to do good via gifting with social enterprises and charities that supply the gifts. MfG knew that it was possible to further increase their impact by reaching a wider audience who were looking to go beyond social good. They turned to Binomial to help them navigate this next stage of their journey.

OUR APPROACH

We embarked on a collaborative journey withMfG, beginning with an in-depth exploration of the corporate gifting landscape.We identified untapped opportunities for MfG to do more in the environmentalsustainability area by tapping on the rising importance of Environmental,Social, and Governance (ESG) principles in corporates worldwide. In particular,we identified carbon offsetting as a feature MfG can layer on top of theircorporate gifts.

We also looked into geographic expansionpotential, recognizing that MfG's model could resonate with socially consciouscorporations worldwide.

Our recommendations focused on three key areas:
1. Connecting Gifting with ESG: We guided MfG in positioning their platform as a solution for companies seeking to integrate ESG into their gifting practices, highlighting the positive social and environmental impact of choosing MfG.
2. Strategic Partnerships: We identified other corporate gifting and employee recognition platforms (that do not focus on ESG) as potential partners to expand MfG's reach and amplify their message to a broader corporate audience.
3. Expanding the Supplier Network: We helped MfG identify carbon credit partners to work with so they can     include carbon offsetting with their gifts.

Our work with MfG enabled them to create a better and more sustainable world through the power of gifting. They bought into the idea of calculating the carbon footprint of their gifts and integrated carbon offsetting options at checkout, making it easy for their customers to make carbon-neutral purchases. Their success in integrating ESG principles also opened up exciting new opportunities for them as they expanded into ESG consulting, advising corporates on how to embed sustainability and social responsibility into their business.
